How exciting! Friday November 2 is the first school dance of the year. The dance will start immediately after school at 2:55 and go until 4:55pm. Theme is Blackout! wear black or dark clothes.  PERMISSION SLIPS INFLATABLE: For the first time ever, the school will have an inflatable obstacle course at the dance! Students must submit a  signed permission slip by Friday to participate. Permission slips for the inflatables are good all year, so once you get one signed, it will be good for any inflatable at any dance all year long. The 4th annual ASB Fun Run fundraiser is coming next Friday, 10/5 ! Students brought home envelopes on Wednesday for collecting donations. Envelops can be turned in Friday 9/28 , Tuesday 10/2 and Thursday 10/4 between 8-8:20am. Holiday Hunger Campaign!
Did you know about 10% of the more than 29,000 students in the Lake Washington School District may be food insecure and vulnerable to being hungry over the weekends and holidays?  The Pantry Packs program , powered by the Lake Washington Schools Foundation, is a volunteer-run food assistance program that seeks to provide weekend food for hungry students. As the district grows, so does the need. At Evergreen, Pantry Packs helps feed about 120 students each month.   It is time again for the annual EMS Fall Food Drive sponsored by our National Junior Honor Club. We take great pride in being a significant donor to HopeLink each fall. Please help us help others in this season of giving and appreciation. Our goal this year is to collect 1750lbs of food! Lets see if we can do this and more!    Here are the themes for each day of the food drive: Tin Tuesday 13 th  – Bring in all canned foods - soup, fruit, veggies, pasta meals.  Waffle Wednesday 14 th  – any breakfast foods! King County ballots were mailed a while ago and ballot drop boxes are open as of October 18 th . Do your homework and learn about the candidates and initiatives! The Voter Guide that was mailed has great information about all of them. Our PTSA has lots of fun activities planned for our students this year, and we need  your  help to make it happen! This is a great way to get involved with our school and get to know other parents. Lake Washington School District to implement new volunteer system in 2018-19 This summer, Lake Washington School District’s volunteer application system will be transferred from its current system to a volunteer system developed by Raptor Technologies, Inc. Raptor is used across the nation in many school districts and is considered the industry leader.  Information for all current volunteers will be transferred into the new volunteer system.
