All current 7th grade students who will remain at Evergreen next year as 8th graders are invited to apply and run for Evergreen’s ASB Executive Board for the 2025-2026 school year.

There will be an informational meeting with the ASB advisor, Trisha Miller, in the February timeframe for students who are interested to be candidates. Check this page for information around that time.

In order for students to run for ASB Office, candidates must:

  • Be in 7th grade this year
  • Plan on attending EMS next year as an 8th grader
  • Be an ASB member
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 3.2
  • Submit at least two teacher recommendation forms as part of an Application Packet.

No one is allowed to “announce” they are running for office until they have done ALL of the following things:
1. Attended the informational meeting with Ms. Miller during FLEX in February
2. Completed an application to run for office.
3. Been deemed “eligible” by Ms. Miller based on the contents of their application packet and teacher recommendations.
4. Attended a meeting for all qualified/eligible candidates.

Only after a student has done ALL FOUR of the above things, can they announce they are running for office.

If students have questions about ASB, elections, running for office, or election application packets, they can email Trish Miller, ASB Advisor, at trimiller@lwsd.org.
